Stream Duckwrth's New Project “Tax Free”

A stunning introduction to the Bay Area/LA artist.

Bay Area by way of Los Angeles' very own Duckwrth is releasing his brand new project, Tax Free, today. After the premiere of "Travel," an honest and earnest tale of Duckwrth in his younger days riding down Crenshaw Blvd., he's been anxiously anticipating the full reveal of his 8-track project. It's the follow-up to his 2012 release, DUCKTAPE.

With features from RGLND, Queens D. Light, Dunzo and production from Duckwrth himself along with AlyMusic, SpencerxStevens, Ze Brainchild, and more, tracks like "Voltron" and "Fatlace Chux" are the perfect introduction to Duckwrth.

Along with the premiere, he sent us some random—but very pertinent—bulletpoints about himself. Being allergic to bread must be the worst thing in the world if you love PB&J sandwiches—but that's probably the least of his worries these days.

  • I was raised on Jazz, Gospel and Classical music. My parents didn't allow me to listen to hiphop.
  • I am a reflection of God, and the energy you feel from my music is a reflection as well.
  • I am tortured because I am allergic to bread, and my favorite dish is PB n J sandwiches.
  • If I could still wake up for Saturday morning cartoons, I would.
  • I belong to an art collective called "ThemHellas". We do everything from music to fine art, photography to film.
  • I plan to be this generation's Freddie Mercury (from Queen).
