Surf the Aisles In Sonny & The Sunsets' New Video For "Happy Carrot Health Food Store"

Give love to the dude mopping the produce section.

If you haven't made the effort, you should seriously get to know the people at your local grocery store, or bodega. Next time you're around, you'll start to pick up on the narratives of both the people that work there, and the people that always come in. Like the big dude who comes in late at night always wearing that porkpie hat/jean short combo that makes no sense, but is somehow endearing. Or that one guy who works the register and used to hit on your girlfriend, but now just talks to you about what's going on in WWE. It's incredible what you can pick up on. In Sonny & The Sunsets' video for "Happy Carrot Health Food Store," you get to meet a new cast of characters.

Sonny & The Sunsets is a band from San Francisco that plays a groovy style of beachy pop-rock. In their video for "Happy Carrot Health Food Store," we get to see members of the band dressed up as your favorite people in your regular stop. The song moves between moments of really classic sounding surf-rock to crazy, soloy psychadelic in the latter half. The video itself begins to morph too, from a Clerks esque black and white cruise around the store to a super wavy and colorful series of animations that take the visuals to space and back.
