Strobes, Sweat, and Silhouettes Swirled at Small Black’s Private Bushwick Basement Show

The lights and sounds at the synth pop quartet's secret hometown show were otherworldly.

On Wednesday, Noisey ran an in-depth interview with Small Black to accompany the premiere of the track “Back At Belle’s” off their upcoming album Best Blues. Last night, the band played an intimate performance in a Brooklyn basement as a warm-up for their upcoming U.S. tour. The show was packed, sweaty, and visually stunning. The lighting, programmed by drummer Jeff Curtin, illuminated the band in stunning silhouettes. The countless hours he sat alone in his room with a fog machine were completely justified. Check out photos from the show below. For the full experience: blast Small Black, pretend that you’re drenched in sweat and dance your ass off as you scroll through.
