Sick/Tired Will Have You Terrified/Pummeled on "In Articulo Mortis"

Most of the time, there’s no place for cleanliness in hardcore. Really, when you’re in the space of wanting to break tables or people, who wants “nice” sounding music? In scenarios like that, nothing is better than a band that sounds like they’re coming from the depths of the earth, hellbent on dragging you back down with them.

Sick/Tired is a crusty, grindy hardcore band from Chicago, IL that is going to stomp you the fuck out. In their new track “In Articulo Mortis” (which means a moment right before death), the band shows you some of the most exciting elements happening in hardcore right now. After a whole bunch of build up and moments of anxiety, the band throws you into an aural hornets’ nest. Each instrument folds inwards, pummeling you over and over with each instrument’s super distorted punch. From there, we enter a really solid hardcore sounding base, before everything goes into melody and near crescendo. Finally it ends shuffling off into the dark, with a wall of barren noise and feedback. In other words: it fucking slays and you need to check this band out.
