Shaved Women Is Not Smooth or Silky, But Rough And Angry on "Is It Worth It"

Stream the new track from the punk band. It's nasty.

Most personal care brands advise shaving with clean and safe razors designed for a quick and painless shave. But that shit’s not tuff, it’s fucking weak. Shaved Women isn’t about that smooth skin, soft life. This hardcore band from St. Louis, Missouri is about finding the rustiest blade in the shed and shearing everyone on sight.

With three fist-fighting EPs under their belt, Shaved Women is a dropping their newest release, the Just Death LP, this summer through Ektro Records. Each element of this four piece slams together to deliver grimy, in your face punk. The vocals especially, sounding like the singer is desperate to growl his lungs and throat and every organ within into the listener’s ears. Dirty basslines and guitar chords shove and stomp over landmine drum beats. And it’s all mired and painted in a gritty, lo-fi production coating the already savage tracks into a darker shade of black. Yet through all of the filth, the band stays catchy.

Check out the band’s brand new track “Is It Worth It,” which will force your reflexes to start a pit in the middle of your office.
