Enter This Contest for a Once in a Lifetime Chance to See Rush with a Girl!

Meet, fall in love, and get dumped by the only girl at the Rush concert.

Remember that time back in high school you told a girl you liked Rush, and instantly she started laughing at you, telling everyone she could how much of a loser you were? Soon, the entire school was against you, and despite how awesome you thought your utility trench coat looked, there was no chance of the bullying ending. Kids would start calling you "Tom Sawyer," and when the bullies got a hold of you, they all lamented they couldn't dunk you into "The Larger Bowl." Life was a living hell, as it is for all Rush fans. Even in 2015, if you admit to liking Rush, you are instantly revealed to the world as a social miscreant, unworthy of any human contact.

Fortunately, a one in a million chance has arisen where you get to go see Rush with a real life girl! The Toronto rock station Q101 is running a contest where you get to see Canada's Crown Jewel with their DJ, Joanne Wilder. This really is a once in a lifetime opportunity, because as we all know Rush has no female fans. We'll give you a synopsis of how your date is going to go: you'll pick her up from her house, and hand her a bus pass so you can both go to the nearest Dave & Busters for your pre-show date. While eating a nice juicy Buffalo Wing Burger, you'll yarn on and on about the time you thought you saw Geddy Lee leaving the supermarket, or how you had a dream Neil Peart taught you how to play the fills to "Working Man." Then, she's going to be really impressed, and after you make her pay for the meal, you'll be right in the CanadaDome, front row center, baby! While she checks her phone, you gaze into Geddy's eyes while he rips the hell out of a bass solo. Then, when they get into the grand finale of "2112," you get on one knee, and propose. She has no idea how to react, and you instantly start to sweat over not having a ring. You mumble out an excuse, and it’s the start to the beautiful relationship you tell all your friends about at your weekly tabletop game night.

So, time to enter. Just record a 30 second clip of why it should be you, and send it off. Should be fun!
