Not familiar with the band Scout? Let us rectify that for you. They’re a five-piece from Long Island, New York, you see. And they play that new style of punk that everyone loves so dang much these days. You know, the kind that blends chill indie vibes with loud, melodic riffs. Like where The Sidekicks meet Modern Baseball or like if Iron Chic got really into that new Title Fight record. Or like, if a third enticing comparison happened. They are dumping so much new stuff on you today that your internet arms will be so full, you’ll need a bag to carry it all. For starters, they’ve got a video for their song “Slippery Dolphin” which actually has nothing to do with dolphins but about houses for sale with death cults in them. (In the real estate biz, those are called “motivated sellers.”) "Slippery Dolphin" is pop punk with a porpoise and is so fun you'll wish it would never fin-ish. (We literally could not help ourselves.)The song is off their new EP,What If, Like, When We Die…which comes out next week viaSecret Audio Clubbut guess what. You can listen to the whole damn thing below too. We promise. Scout's honor.
