Let The Salad Boys Charm You with Their New Track "Dream Date"

The backing band for David Kilgour of The Clean breaks out on their own.

Hailing from New Zealand, the Salad Boys using driving pop and punk propulsion to help drive the tracks on their new LP Metalmania, the band’s debut LP due on September 18 via Trouble in Mind. The Christchurch based band is far from amateurs though, having spent time supporting several notables like Sebadoh, The Bats, and Parquet Courts in their native land, and even serving as the backing band for David Kilgour of The Clean. Flying Nun comparisons abound.

The Salad Boys have a new track from that not-so-metal LP Metalmania, the sunny and danceable “Dream Date” which would be the perfect soundtrack to a guy and girl driving off into the sunset at the end of a John Hughes film. Check out the track and catch them at the gigs below.
