Clearly, Rozwell Kid are trying to get their new album, Too Shabby, stuck in your head. They’ve jammed together a bunch of power pop styles to create some sort of Frankenstein's monster of catchiness. On “Kangaroo Pocket” for example, they stick in some ripping high-pitched guitar hooks, some distortion-heavy catchy choruses, and some stretches of classic volume-up, rock-the-fuck-out breakdowns. Very reminiscent of early Weezer or The Rentals but with nods to contemporaries like Tony Molina and King Tuff.
