Head into the Deeper Reaches of Space with Rosetta's "Soot"

The Philadelphia shoegaze/post-metal/deep-space quartet return with a new LP

I've heard people call Rosetta "astronaut metal" and I get it, though I still think that you could call them metal on dabs. Rosetta is a bit like if Isis (the band, doy) kept rolling down a similar path as Panopticon, exploring the outer reaches of post-rock, shoegaze, and their reverb pedals before dropping a decimating riff at the exact right time. "Soot" is a good example of Rosetta's wheelhouse, a track that builds and builds until in crush mode, then easing back to survey the damage.
