Ronika Drops Disco Future Classic "Marathon"

This is a sternum-exposing gold lamé dress reincarnated as a song.

What's a singer to do when a nodule on your vocal chords prevents you from singing for two years? Well you get into production of course—the mechanics of music! Now Ronika—that's Veronica Sampson—can add producer and DJ to her resume. Hailing from the rather grey and unglamorous town of Nottingham, England, Ronika's latest track, "Marathon," is the antithesis of her hometown. It's sparkly and escapist and high on love. It's a sternum-exposing gold lamé dress reincarnated as a song. That is to say it's 70s disco-tastic. Like Chaka Khan in 2014 and as spunky and uplifting as Cheryl Lynn's "Got to be Real." Fabulous.

Marathon is the title track from Ronika's forthcoming EP released on 12.1 via RecordShop.
