Rae Sremmurd's Video for "This Could Be Us" Is a Long Distance Love Letter (Hi Dej Loaf!)

Maybe there's a deeper message to this empty and vapid life, as illustrated through this swagged out safari journey.

A Sremmffari

The new Rae Sremmurd video answers a question that's almost as old as time itself: How do you cope when the love of your life is breaking up with you via Facetime before you're about to depart for Johannesburg? In the case of Slim Jimmy and Swae Lee, the only solution can come from turning up on a safari. The video for "This Could Be Us" off Rae Sremmurd's Sremmlife is essentially travel porn, allowing you to live vicariously through the carelessness that comes from being young, rich, and able to have access to a cheetah.

Petting a hateehc

It's impossible not to like Rae Sremmurd, and if you feel anything but total happiness for these kids your soul is pitch black with hatred. I mean really, if someone decided to animate these two kids and give them a cartoon sidekick, I would not only watch that cartoon series in its entirety, but I'd buy front-row tickets when they inevidably do the "On Ice" version. And by the way, even though this video is all about dealing with missing your significant other, Dej Loaf and Slim Jimmy seem to have a pretty good, pretty casual thing going.

Relationship / data connectivity / hair goals

How hard do you think it would be to become best friends with the guys from Rae Sremmurd? Do you think they're really easy to get along with, or are they using their jubilance to mask a deeper pain? Maybe the point of this video isn't that long distance relationships are easy because of technology, but that they've become harder than ever because technology creates the illusion that you're with someone, without providing any of the tactile or emotional benefits. Maybe what you're supposed to take away from this footage is that we're all born alone, and we'll all die alone. And no matter how many Facetimes and safaris you spend your time on, nothing comes close to feeling the warm beat of another human heart.

No probably not, being young and single and rich looks awesome. Money! Swag! Technology!
