PREMIERE: The OBGM's Video for "Torpedo" Blasts Through You Like a ... Something

Toronto's most interesting punk band is having a really hard time keeping still for their newest video.

By now you’ve probably heard us mention Toronto punk rock quartet, The OBGM’s and how prone they are to instrumental carnage on top of their energetic live sets. If not, consider this your introduction as the band drop off their new video “Torpedo.” Directed by Ryan Enn Hughes, the visuals are a showcase in barely contained madness as the band swing back and forth in a black and white flurry of movements. This the video personifies the extra oomph that the OBGM’s are known for bringing to their live shows.

“This is actually the second collaboration between The OBGMs and I, after doing their first video "Beat Up Kidz" back in 2013,” Hughes explains. “So, for this one what I wanted to do is capture their energy in a visual form which is why I had them perform in all white clothing against a contrasting dark canvas so their explosive performance kind of pops out at you during the video. In addition to the sharp cuts and swift transitions, all of these aspects help illustrate the song's theme about blowing up relationships.“
