PREMIERE: Maserati's "Rehumanizer II" Is the Space Rock Event Horizon

Who knew the 80s and post-rock tension building went together so well?

Do you ever wish you could pick up some dusty sci-fi novel from the 80s with a whacked out cover, and just jump inside of it? To experience the adventure of fighting aliens, other space colonies, and generally just have a dope time in space. That doesn't seem like too much to ask for, complete matter transport into alternate dimensions. Just make it happen, because we really want to hop into the world Maserati creates in their music.

Maserati is a band from Athens, Georgia that make music spanning genres from spacey post-rock to fun, texturally powerful krautrock. Their new song "Rehumanizer II" combines their expert musicianship with sounds and pieces straight out of a Flock of Seagulls record. The result of the combination makes the music more than one specific genre. Even in its fun, it shows build up and tension, not giving way to cheesiness or nostalgia. Maserati can take nods from any time period, and make it super compelling.
