You may already be familiar with Ukrainian rapper Avatar Darko. The Seattle-raised artist has been putting out songs for the past couple of years among the underground Seattle rap scene (yeah, that's a thing), aligning himself with acts like the flamboyantly grim Nacho Picasso. Now, Avatar looks to shed the turn-up, and grow his solo rap career into the mainstream. In his video for "IDK," Avatar walks around New York City while taking in the sights, getting a tattoo or two, and rapping menacingly in front of cityscape. It's literally the closest thing you'll ever see to a hip-hop version of Eastern Promises. Being Ukrainian has never been cooler.Catch Avatar Darko performing in Seattle at Neumos on July 10thSlava Pastuk let Ukraaaine down, in Africa - @SlavaP
