There's been a million awk attempts at describing Philco Fiction's sound, pretty much all of them some constipated variation of, "Erm, kind of like Prince's R&B sound, meets Björk, but with a disco edge. Oooh, also like Robyn, 'cos they're Scandinavian!" Not very helpful, obviously. It's easiest just to let the Oslo trio do what they do best: churn out unashamedly catchy snippets of melodic pop.
