Peppermint Kisses' Video for "Woodland Mischieves" is Daydreamy

The opposite of black metal.

Let's be real: no one wants to listen to black metal when it's a blazing hot day in July. What're you gonna do? Hang on the porch with a tall cold glass of (Long Island) iced tea and chill with your rage? So much black leather. So much perspiration. So much more appropriate is the music of Peppermint Kisses—that's Jenny and Joseph Andretti, a husband-wife duo from Bakersfield, CA. Signed to Figment Recordings, the pair's music is akin to vintage Blonde Redhead—a bewitching combo of twinkling synths and gilded, girl-ish vocals as delicate as spiderwebs in an attic. Meanhile the accompanying video is reminiscient of something French filmmaker Georges Méliès might've cut if he had access to the internet. Drink it up.
