Noisey and Nitehawk Cinema Team Up for the "Music Driven" Film Series in Brooklyn

This weekend, we're kicking off this music-centric film series with a screening of "A Skin Too Few," a film about Nick Drake, and we'd like you to win some tickets to the event.

We wear headphones for a living, so when we leave the office the last thing we want to do is assault our eardrums with that horrible sound called "music." After work hours, most of us like to crack open a cool, refreshing artisanal beverage, jam some food in our mouths, and take in a film. Sadly, most movie theaters in New York don't let you drink inside, so we teamed up with Nitehawk Cinema in Williamsburg for a new film series called "Music Driven."

Once a month, we'll be teaming up with the theater to bring you the best music-centric films ever made by humans. The first event is this Saturday and Sunday, April 13 and 14 at noon, a special screening of "A Skin Too Few: The Days of Nick Drake," which tells the story of this legendary British guitarist and crooner through the eyes of his family and friends. The thing is, his friends are really cool: Lisa Hannigan, Green Gartside, Teddy Thompson, Robyn Hitchcock, Vashti Bunyan, Danny Thompson and many others are featured in the film.

Both screenings feature a live conversation with Joe Boyd, the record producer and writer who discovered Drake (Nick Drake, that is). And Noisey's valiant Editor-In-Chief, Benjamin Shapiro, will be interviewing him and hosting a Q&A after the screening. Fun stuff.

We've got a pair of tickets to give away to each event, and we'd like you to win them. It's extremely easy - all you have to do is click to email us - just stick in your preference for which day you'd like to attend. Again, both screenings are at noon, and Nitehawk serves brunch so come early.
