No Limbs’ New Seven-Inch Is Just Good Old Fashioned Hardcore

Short, fast, furious.

Not to sound like the old nostalgic hardcore dudes who stand in the back of the venue reminiscing about the good old days, but remember when hardcore bands actually knew how to play hardcore? Most current bands use the genre as an excuse to print 18 different variants of their t-shirts and show off how many effects pedals they can use. What happened to bands like (again, we realize how nostalgic we sound here) Slapshot and Negative Approach and 97a? Bands who could bang out a whole album in under 12 minutes? Fortunately, Oakland’s No Limbs are here to remind our old asses of what hardcore once was. The four-piece has a new self-titled seven-inch coming out next month via Jeremy Bolm of Touché Amoré’s label, Secret Voice Records. Seven songs in eight minutes, furiously belted out. No artsy bullshit, just good old fashioned pissed off hardcore sure to please even the most stubborn of old school fans.
