Monster Treasure's "Over" Makes Us Really Want to Punch an Ex in the Face

Girls rule, boys drool.

There are many struggles in life. One struggle that cuts deep is being a lady watching other ladies making really good music. I can't even count how many times I have said the words, "OMG let's start a band!" to my female friends after seeing some babe ripping on the guitar like a total badass. Monster Treasure is a band that makes me feel this way. Hailing from Stockton, CA (who knew good music came out of Stockton?) this trio—two ladies, one dude—absolutely slay. They are everything I would ever expect from a band who's Soundcloud bio says, "HEY! SHUT UP!" It's loud and makes me want to be in a 90s teen movie stealing shit from a mall, getting away with it, making out with my boyfriend who kind of looks like Josh (Paul Rudd) in Clueless, and then kicking him to the curb because I DON'T NEED A MAN, GIRL POWER, BOYS SUCK!

Monster Treasure has been around since 2011, and have since then released a split seven-inch with Babysitter out on Shake! Records. They also have an EP cassette release that has been sold out for years. Their self-titled debut album will be available on Brooklyn-based label Harlot this summer, and will include a limited run of 100 glitter records. Yeah, that's right. Glitter.

Noisey is stoked to premiere the band's fuzzy single "Over" below. And before you listen to it, think about that ex of yours that made you feel like shit.
