Check Out Mono's "Dream Odyssey" Video and Get Lost in Space

East Coast-ers, In Your Part of the Universe in November

Japan's Mono has danced between post-rock, metal and neoclassical throughout the span of their storied career, crafting heartfelt instrumental tracks much like their latest video "Dream Odyssey." The animated video depicts an astronaut floating in space, with the world around him/her erupting into an explosion of light, meteors disintegrating and planets going supernova. Check out the video, from their recent For My Parents LP, above.

Mono is currently in the studio recording the score for a mini-series called "Kanatanoko" that will be aired on the WOWOW network in their homeland. The band crafted the theme to the show, "Kanata", as well as "various other musical pieces" that were used throughout the series. No word as to when the full release will hit, but look for "Kanata Theme" from the Kanatanoko Soundtrack via iTunes on 11/27.
