Metronomy To Be Featured On Official Lady Gaga Remix Album
By Noisey Staff

Remember the days when a band would release 20 full-length studio albums, tour the world 25 times, weather countless break-ups/make-ups, and on the 30th or so anniversary of their first album, release a comprehensive "collection" of their greatest hits and live footage?
Well.
Lady Gaga recently announced that she will be following the release of her second (yes, second) studio LP, the universally pervasive Born This Way, with "Lady Gaga: The Collection", which will feature a DVD of her Madison Square Garden spectacle and a remix album of her latest release, aptly titled "Born This Way: The Remix".
Why should you care? Well, other than the fact that you don't want to be publicly shamed and denounced by your 11-year-old cousin, Mercury Prize-nominated and featured Noisey band Metronomy's remix of inexplicably-umlauted "Yoü and I" was hand-picked to appear on the record. The British electro-pop wunderkinds give the chart-topper an unexpected restrained, reverbed rework, resulting in a space-age track that's swirling, stirring, and...actually really killer.
Extra credit: Our CMJ showcase headliner, Twin Shadow, also has a mix featured on the album! Hop on over to Pretty Much Amazing to check it out.
Hear Metronomy's melodramatic mix below, and keep an eye out for "The Collection" and "The Remix" when they drop on November 21st (if you're into that kind of thing...)
And catch Metronomy live on their world tour! We hear they're making a move to replace their lightbulb get-ups with meat suits.
