Life Doesn't Matter So Listen to Mas Ysa's New Song "Margarita"

The Brooklyn producer songwriter announces his debut record 'Seraph.'

Earlier this year, Brooklyn producer songwriter Mas Ysa released "Look Up," an emotional whirlwind of a song that followed his criminally underrated EP last year Worth. Today, he's back with a new single, "Margarita," another track that's just as gripping with intensity. Unsurprisingly, "Margarita" falls in line with what we've come to expect of Mas Ysa—real name Thomas Arsenault—a track that operates on the fringe of self-doubt and frustration, somehow feeling so urgent, shoving its poigancy in your face. But weirdly, the song puts you on the edge, the trembling in his voice leaving you with a feeling that at any moment, you could just collapse into a vast, empty black hole of nothing. It's rare that such emotional punch can be packed into a piece of art that, at its core, is so minimal. Yet, here it is, and here we are.

With the new single, Mas Ysa has also announced his debut full-length. It's called Seraph, and will release on July 24 via Downtown Records.
