Ex-teenage pop star and current gothic pop goddess Louise Burns has officially been remixed. I first caught wind of Louise when I interviewed her about gendered stage personnas, and I've been in love with her beautiful songs ever since. Burns currently plays in Gold & Youth, but she also harbors her own solo career. Two year ago, she released her debut solo effort Mellow Drama (Light Organ Records) and infected my heart. Burns is kind of an angel that way. Recently, the track “Paper Cup” was remixed by Baron Von Luxxury. Check out the club version of Burns below and look out for her sophomore solo record The Midnight Mass which drops later this year and is produced by Sune Rose Wagner of The Ravonettes. (Spolier Alert: It’s like Kate Bush meets Stevie Nicks meets the tightest, boldest melodies on the West Coast.)
