There are a lot of bands in Brooklyn, and most of them are bad. That's not to say that Brooklyn produces bad bands. There is an equal ratio of "bad" to "good" bands all over the country, and the world: eleven to one, bad bands to good bands. Sure, some people can freak out about Minneapolis or Oxford, MS, or Oxford, UK, but they aren't seeing all the sad dads playing in jammy blues bands. That's not to say that dads produce bad music. Dads produce an equal ratio of "bad" and "good" music all over the country, and the world: eleven to one, bad dad bands to good dad bands. It's just that jammy blues sucks.
What I was saying is that there are many bad bands in Brooklyn, but TEEN is not one of them. They are the good kind. They're the kind we like, because they play the kind of shimmery, glimmery pop music that makes us want to buy all of their records. TEEN just sent us their newest single, which is called "Paradise," and features vocalist Teeny Lieberson crooning "is this your ticket to paradise?" over and over. You should stop reading now and press that little orange button below to listen to some free music.
"Paradise" is off TEEN's new EP, which comes out on May 28 and is called Carolina. You can preorder the vinyl right here, and we think you really should. Also, feel free to check them out on tour this summer. Dates are below.
