Listen to Druture's Grime Remix of Lil' Bibby and Lil' Herb's "Kill Shit"

Druture combines Drill and Grime sounds into the hardest sociological manifesto you'll hear in a club this year.

Drew Kim, one half of Montreal production duo Grown Folk, is currently in the studio with Young Chop's 8TMG crew under his Druture alias, and he's provided us with an intriguing session out-take. This remix of Lil Herb and Lil Bibby's "Kill Shit" draws a parallel between the South Sides of Chicago and London, circa 2013 and 2002 respectively—in both cases, youth surrounded by inner-city violence pushed sonic boundaries towards brutal minimalism. Drew flips a sample of Wiley's seminal eski-grime "Ice Rink" riddim, turning the Drill upstarts' haunting street anthem into the hardest sociological manifesto you'll hear in a club this year.
