Caddywhompus's "Entitled" Will Bum You Out and Lift You Up

Community Records allowed us to premiere Caddywhompus's latest track, "Entitled." Listening to the song is both depressing and invigorating.

Hailing from New Orleans, Caddywhompus’s sound runs the gamut from dream pop to post-rock to sadcore. Their tight instrumentation is even more enticing once you realize that the band is just two dudes who have been playing music together since they were in middle school. They picked the name Caddywhompus in 2008 and have been running with it ever since. And during their six years together they haven't been in a rush to put out a bunch of half-baked tunes. Instead, they’ve taken their time to develop a distinct sound, having only released one record prior to this full-length album. Their sophomore effort will be released next month through their hometown label, Community Records, who are hosting a DIY festival party at Carver Theater in New Orleans on Saturday.

Community Records has been kind enough to let us premiere Caddywhompus's latest track, "Entitled." Listening to the song is both depressing and invigorating. It’ll push you toward melancholic introspection until you find yourself mindlessly rocking out.
