Listen to a New Song from Max Collins, the Lead Singer of Eve 6, Called "Sportsbar"

Watch one of the heroes of the 90's get decapitated in a room full of masks.

I promise you this isn't an April Fools joke—we have the exclusive premiere of a new video from Max Collins, the lead singer of Eve 6. One of the titans of late 90's radio rock, you no doubt remember Eve 6 for the punchy chords and guileless choruses of tracks like "Inside Out" and "Here's To the Night." Ten years after the band's initial breakup (they reunited for a tour in 2007 and a new album in 2012) Max is back, his familiar infectious vocals recontextualized for the singer-songwriter melodics of "Sportsbar." If the idea of watching one of the biggest stars of the 90's get beheaded in a room full of animal masks sounds like something you'd like then don't miss the music video, which Max funded with a Pledge Music campaign. Still think this is a prank? Here's a quote from the man himself about the making of the insane clip:

“We had the good fortune of meeting Francis (the Native American man in the video) through a happy accident, quite literally. Thad Bridwell, the director of the video, was driving in the middle of nowhere near Joshua Tree national park awhile back when his car broke down. He had no phone service and was miles away from civilization. Francis happened to be driving by and offered his assistance. He got the car towed and fixed it himself. Thad stayed in touch with him after that and soon learned that Francis had built a fully functioning old west style tavern on his property. We went and checked it out and shortly thereafter the concept for the video came to me. We wanted it to feel like David Lynch meets Monty Python.” - Max Collins
