Premiere: Stream LA Font's Latest Album "Diving Man" a Week Early

New sounds from the California-based indie rock quartet.

It was snowing in New York this morning so it's kind of the perfect time to stream LA Font's latest project, Diving Man, which is officially out Nov. 19 on New Professor Music. The California-based indie rock quartet is on the edge of '90s garage rock, but with a new twist. The project was produced and recorded by Eric Palmquist (Who has worked with Waaves, Trash Talk, Aloe Blacc, etc.). Jon Perry, Greg Katz, Harlow Rodriguez and Danny Bobbe all show they've taken those lo-fi '90s sounds to a new level on Diving Man.

"As we were writing this album, I'd been living in L.A. for a while and I was totally not 'making it.' I quit three catering jobs and two serving jobs and had no money. Cockroaches in my apartment, cockroaches in my guitar case. All my friends were broke too, and none of us had class," said Bobbe said in an email. "'Diving Man' was the album in my notebook from that time. 'Telenovela' was written the night after my friends got mugged, for example. And I remember thinking about this girl and being like, 'My words, your lips, their ears, context removed,' and it became a 'Blood Orange' lyric."

Pre-order the project today, and stream Diving Man for the first time before it comes out on Nov. 19.
