Kid Cudi Just Out Kanye'd Kanye With His New Giuseppe Zanotti Sneakers

They're basically a riff on Ye's Red Octobers.

Kid Cudi just got one step closer to #GODLEVEL. Following in the footsteps of Kanye, his former mentor, Cudi now has his own pair of Giuseppe Zanotti sneakers. The rapper tweeted about them last week but just yesterday it was announced that the shoes will be available to purchase as part of Zanotti's 2015 spring/summer collection. The street style blog-baiting design was apparently inspired by Cudi and created by Zanotti. I'm not sure that I'd be flattered if someone told me I inspired these sneakers but I'm also not one of the hypebeasts who will inevitably be lining up to buy them.

Something tells me Kanye wouldn't be pleased about them either—especially with the color choice which brings to mind Ye's holy grail of a sneaker, the Nike Red Octobers that ended up listed on eBay for $16.3 MILLION. Plus, after Cudi's dramatic departure from G.O.O.D. Music, Kanye probably figured they'd never be sharing a label again, let alone the shoe label that made all of the footwear for Kanye's debut DONDA collection. To quote a 19-year-old Kanye, "That shit is mad ironic."

I'm just patiently awaiting Cudi's next foray into fashion, which I hope will include crop tops.
