Listen to Jay Z's Rare Pre-Reasonable Doubt Demos

Yasssss, unreleased Jay Z!

Jay Z is not a rapper who has a lot of hidden gems. Every one of his songs is great in its own way, and even the loosies have been documented. Which is why it was so fucking dope that someone took it upon themselves to assemble a collection of relatively high-quality versions of early, rare Hova work and threw it all up on SoundCloud. Many of them feature Sauce Money, who used to be Jay's mans-n-em and even appeared on the extremely random Big Daddy Kane posse cut "Show & Prove," which featured Kane, Ol' Dirty Bastard, Shyheim (a Wu-Tang-affiliated child rapper), Scoob Lover (the weird-voiced rapper at the beginning of the track), and Jay Z himself. Weirdly, none of the tracks feature Jaz-O, who was Jay's mentor at the time. WHERE ARE THE SECRET JAZ-O TRACKS, INTERNET???

Anyways, these songs will probably get taken down pretty soon, so listen thirstily while you can.
