It's Impossible to Feel Shitty When Listening to Dana Buoy's Track "Preacher"

Akron/Family member makes solo music to make you feel better.

Last time we wrote about Dana Buoy was the summer of 2012. Back then the Akron/Family member was touting his first album Summer Bodies, which was, as the title suggests, the ideal soundtrack speeding around on a bicycle down some dusty track, wind in your hair, pollen up your nose. (For instance, "Call to Be" is pure Animal Collective meets Surfer Blood.)

DANA BUOY! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? Writing and recording more music apparently because he's got a new five song EP, Preacher (out via Middle West on 7.22), the title track of which is premiering below. A sparkling cut of optimistic, wistful, stompy synthpop, "Preacher" is certainly will buoy up (sorry, had to!) anyone who's a little blue.

The Portland-based artist will be touring with Sylvan Esso this fall—see dates below—and if you haven't already seen our acoustic session of Sylvan Esso performing with a bunch of dudes on horns, on a rooftop, watch it here.
