Here's Vaadat Charigim's Video for "Ze Beseder Lefahed"

There should be more songs sung in Hebrew that make you want to dance like Ally Sheedy.

Directed by David Michael Shachar and Lee Zegenreich. Edited by Daphni Leef.

I'm all about songs sung in languages I can't understand. Sometimes it's really relaxing, you know? Like, I can just focus on how the music makes me feel and the awkward Ally Sheedy-in-the-Breakfast-Club-dance this song makes me want to do. Preferably with the people in this video. Vaadat Charigim hail from Tel Aviv, they sing in Hebrew, and I haven't heard anything this Cure-tastically 80s in a while. Let's all gaze at our shoes for a while.

This is the video for the first single of their forthcoming debut LP, The World Is Well Lost (out on Burger Records on November 12). That title is interesting. I wonder if they mean "well lost" like a British person would say "well lost," using "well" for emphasis. If that's the case, I guess this would translate to The World is Seriously Screwed.

Today I'm really suffering from last night's Halloween festivities, but it's still THE BEST HOLIDAY OF THE YEAR and it pleases me to know that if I wanted to, I could celebrate Halloween again, in five months time. Here's what the band had to say about this video:

"It was shot during Jewish Halloween in Tel Aviv in March this year. The show took place at a local sandwich deli called Ace right at the center of town on Nahalat Binyamin. A lot of kids showed up dressed up. It's quite normal in Tel Aviv to see shows in shops, spaces, and galleries, when bands get bored of the usual venues. When you play Ace you get free sandwiches and beer!"

See you at the Ace in March, then.
