Earlier this year, Perfume Genius released Too Bright, one of the year's most thoughtful and poignant records. Its success stems from how open songwriter Mike Hadreas is about, well, everything. "There’s something kind of badass and fun for me to say things like I’m an icky person…and say that basically I’m a slut and yell it at somebody," he said in an interview with Noisey earlier this year.
