Here's "California Grrls," the New Single from Shark?

At the Savannah Stopover fest a few weeks back, there was a vast abundance of solid rock 'n' roll bands loading out of vans and smashing young Savannaian's minds into a cold, mushy paste. There was one that stuck out to me, and they were called Shark?

At the Savannah Stopover fest a few weeks back, there was a vast abundance of solid rock 'n' roll bands loading out of vans and smashing young Savannaian's minds into a cold, mushy paste. There was one that stuck out to me, and they were called Shark? Yes, the question mark is supposed to be there, and yes, whenever this Brooklyn quartet would say their name onstage, their cadence would lilt upwards in the form of a question.

The band is fronted by a dude named Kevin Diamond, who leads the muscular indie rock act with a gruff, brusque tone. Their set in the basement of Taco Abajo for the Stopover featured particularly crisp and clear vocals, which made me realize what a set full of downers these guys rock every night.

Anyway, they just sent us in "California Grrls," the title track off their new single on Old Flame. The single is on "limited blood-red cassette," and will be featured on their new record Savior, which should be out this summer at some point. You can order the single right here, and you can listen to "California Grrls" by clicking the little orange play button down there. Oh, and check them out on tour: we've inserted the dates below for your convenience.
