Here is Southern Hospitality's Super Rapper Mix

We team up with one of the best rap blogs for a mix to prepare ourselves for their SXSW Showcase.

[Editor's Note: One of our favorite music blogs is Southern Hospitality. They're the number-one purveyors of party rap in the universe, and they have their finger on the pulse of weird and wild hip-hop like no other. On March 14th at the Avenue Rooftop, the London-based blog is throwing a SXSW showcase that they're dubbing "The Super Rapper Show." Check the lineup above, and you'll understand why they called it that. We got them to make a mix featuring all of the rappers in their showcase for us, and Davey Boy Smith from the blog wrote a bit about why he loves each of the rappers they got to perform.]

Dorrough

One of the most powerful and precise rappers on the planet. And he's on a recent roll with two huge new singles 'After Party' and 'Drugs In Da Club'. Expect the locals to lose their minds when he walks on stage.

YG

YG has been grinding relentlessly since 'Toot It…', pioneering the new sound with DJ Mustard and is absolutely one of the freshest artists in Cali right now. And we're psyched to have all three "Function" featurers on the showcase!

Problem

Blessed with mastery in the art of infectious ratchet anthem songwriting and one of the most engaging voices in rap, the fact that we now know Problem was in the studio with Dre just means he's even closer to being next than when we booked him. Him and Su's 'Million Dollar Afro' mixtape is also blowing up right now.

Iamsu! & The HBK Gang

Having hit the back end of 2012 with a blitz of production credits and features, Su, P-Lo, their The Invasion production team and HBK Gang rap crew, served up monstrous Iamsu! solo tape '$uzy 6 $peed'. It must be known that collectively these guys are either directly involved with or a direct influence on a lot of what's charting at the moment.

Gangsta Boo & Speakerfoxxx

Former Three 6 Mafia member. Queen of Memphis. Backed by the hottest DJ (male or female) in ATL. Enough said.

Berner

We'll go out on a limb and say that any rapper who's ever performed in San Francisco has probably slid through Berner's coffee spot. He's one of the most connected people we know. And has always shown nothing but love to us from when he was making music with The Jacka and Ampichino to his current A-list status rolling with Chris Breezy and the Taylors.

Yung Nation

One of the most exciting things to happen in Dallas club music in years. This duo's uncontrollable energy has been rocking our world for the last couple of years at our parties and on our mixtapes, and with Dorrough executive producing we know they're in the best hands. Expect their set to be the hypest of hype.

Beat King

One of our most prized recent finds, Beat King raps, produces and provides social commentary on strip club etiquette like no other, and its all peppered with Vampire of Memphis era Juicy J inspired adlibs. We're genuinely concerned about the levels this man is gonna bring on the night.

100s

It's very rare that a new artist steps onto the scene and grabs your attention as much as 100s did with Ice Cold Perm. Joe Wax's polished, spacious beats and 100s' Clipse-precise raps were just a thrilling combo from start to finish. Needless to say, we're hugely excited to have him perform at our SXSW showcase and then one week later in London at Players Ball.

Roach Gigz

Perhaps the Bay Area's most obvious personification of Mac Dre's legacy, who will be more than familiar to Southern Hospitality followers and who is showing no sign of slowing his rise as one of the Left Coast's most exciting prospects. He picked up his live show game from Mistah FAB and tells us he plans to perform songs from his upcoming 'Roachy Balboa 3' mixtape, so watch out!

Pink Dollaz

Basically, these girls have been firm favorites of ours from the 96kbps Jerkin days. Their 2009 underground hit "I'm Tasty" is a certified Players Ball club anthem. And their recent work with The D.R.U.G.$ crew (production masterminds behind Iggy Azalea and Ty$) as well as the ubiquitous DJ Mustard meant we just had to push to fly them over from LA for their first SXSW.

J. Stalin

We've been singing J. Stalin's praises relentlessly since 2009, and in 2013 we're happy to stay he's still making songs that will really last. Honoured to have him perform again at our SXSW showcase. His live show is full of emotion, not to be missed.

ST 2 Lettaz

Slow Motion Soundz and Southern Hospitality have been family since the early days. And as much as G-Side splitting last year was an end of one era in the label's deep history, the way ST sounds on his new solo album reassures us that him and the Block Beattaz will continue to fly the SMS flag in 2013. Plus he's got one of the best live shows around!

Fat Pimp

Thanks to the production mastery of June "The Jenius" James, Houston's Fat Pimp followed up 2009's amazing Maserati with last year's "Roll Me Up". HUGE.

akaFRANK

We first heard "(My Dick Ain't) Racist" via Bay Area record breaker DJ Slowpoke. Then it appeared on Jay Ant's #IAmMostRatchet mixtape as a bonus cut. Then we started playing it at our weekly club nights and putting it on our mixtapes. In six months we had indoctrinated everyone in London to know every word by heart. We capped it off by booking his first ever show outside of the US at Players Ball and now we're bringing him to Texas for the second year in a row.

Rai P

Rai P hit our radar in 2011 but smacked us round the face right around the time Beat King dropped this. Ever since, we've been watching him drop low key club anthems again and again either solo or with 'The Players Club' (one of our albums of the year) partner Quinn.

K.O. Boyz

We still jam "I'm Rare" in our DJ sets. Definitely one of the best of the more underrated groups in Texas, of which there are a good few!
