For the last few weeks, Bomb the Music Industry!’s Jeff Rosenstock has been pushing this new Hard Girls record on us, which he described as sounding “like Shania Twain, Green Day, and Jimmy Eat World all at once.” Uhhh…sure. And while Jeff might’ve been way off on the comparisons (Hard Girls actually give off more of a Guided By Voices vibe. Sorry, Jeff.), he was dead on about this being a great record. A Thousand Surfaces will be out in June from Asian Man Records. Lots of weirdo guitar tones from these dudes, who you might recognize as the members of Classics of Love who are not Jesse Michaels. You can listen to a song from it, "Flying Dream", below, but really, it won’t do justice to the full scope of this album.
