The New Hammock Video Will Have You "Sinking Inside Yourself"

Ease on into the weekend with this excellent new video

It’s arguable that the art of the music video is lost. In a form of media that combines a visual and aural element, it’d be pretty pertinent to take full advantage of a platform. Make something have some level of depth, and not just be a fuckin’ waste of time for everyone involved. That’s why Hammock’s new video for their track “Sinking Inside Yourself” is so exemplary; it blends the video and the song together so well to create something perfect. Hammock is a band from Nashville, TN that blends together shoegaze, post-rock and ambient music together to create soundscapes that will enfold you. Visuals in the video serve as the perfect representaion of the song title; we follow a woman wander in a dissociated haze, while a sonic shore of fuzz and reverb swirl behind it. Glimmers of hope or escape appear, but eventually return to dystopia.

But really, the song and video are really neat and if you read all of that, you owe it to yourself to watch the video above.
