PREMIERE: Listen to Guantanamo Baywatch's "Do What You Want"

Guantanamo Baywatch's new track is straight up garage rock meets fifties doo-wop.

If there is one thing that I enjoy more than garage rock, it's 50s doo-wop, and when both are smashed together into one song there's not much else to do but pack up and go home because the day is over and it's time to go outside and stop working. This explains why Portland, Oregon, trio Guantanamo Baywatch's new track "Do What You Want" is pretty much perfect. Warning: You should probably wait to listen to this track when you are not sitting inside of an office staring at multiple screens, unless you're looking up surf lessons or vacation locations.

The band has traded in their signature rowdy surf rock for a retro, more sparkly feel for their upcoming album Darling… It’s Too Late, out May 12 via Suicide Squeeze Records. The album was recorded at Atlanta’s Living Room Recording (Black Lips, The Coathangers, Jacuzzi Boys) to track with Ben Coleman, Justin McKneight, and Ed Rawls.

Listen to "Do What You Want" below, and take a deep breath because summer is almost here.
