Fire Up the Steamroller, the New High On Fire Track Will Crush You

"The Black Pot" crushes.

Certain songs just sound better coming out of certain cars; you might blast Courtney Barnett out of a Mini or Fetty Wap out of your new Benz. The new High on Fire track probably sounds best on blast out of some sort of steamroller/bulldozer/freight train hybrid equipped with battering ram.

The Motorhead / Celtic Frost influence looms heavy on “The Black Pot,” the band’s latest burner that sounds like it would be right at home on Blessed Black Wings or Death is This Communion. It’s fuel-injected, venomous, and basically the hardest song you’ll hear all week. Stream “The Black Pot” from the band’s forthcoming LP Luminiferous, due on June 23rd.
