It’s at the point in the summer where fall seems months away, and normally we’d see that as a good thing. However, Baltimore-based noise rock band Dope Body tells Noisey that they’re coming out with new record called Lifer on October 21. That’s a long way away, we know, so luckily we’ve got a first listen of new track “Hired Gun” for you to stream below. The song starts out with staticky guitar and heavy vocals, punctuated by an ambient bridge. Sonically, it’s drenched in guitar effects and an anthemic chorus perfect for a drunk sing along. Spanning from quiet riffs that crescendo into a bursting chorus, it’s jubilant and a total jam. In short, this song is appropriately dope.
