Don't Trust Tarot: Here's Rey Pila's Video For "Alexander"

Do you like Bowie? Do you like Q Lazzarus? Do you like crossdressing psychopaths? Cool.

I really love horror films. Apparently Rey Pila are also big scary movie buffs so maybe they'll appreciate the fact that both this video and this song makes me think of that scene in Silence of the Lambs when Buffalo Bill tucks his dick between his legs, shimmy-waddles away from the camera and says "Would you fuck me? I would fuck me?" to the tune of Q Lazzarus' "Goodbye Horses." What a scene. What a song.

If you're a fan of either—or Bowie for that matter—then "Alexander" will strike a chord. The video lifts the lid on a shonky tarot card reader: turns out preying on the superstitious is pretty a lucrative business. Signed to Cult Records (you know, Julian Casablancas' indie label, home to Har Mar, Albert Hammond Jr. and Cerebral Ballzy), the Mexico city quartet are currently working on their second record. Keep your eyes on these hirsute kids.

Kim is really looking forward to The Babadook and she's on Twitter - @theKTB
