Direct Effect Literally Blew a Fuse Making Their New Video

So you'd better watch the damn thing.

Even in bad horror movies, a surefire way to scare the ever-loving shit out of people is to set a scene in complete darkness and point a flickering flashlight around the room. Then subtly graze past something really creepy like a lone child or a guy staring at the wall and the audience is all, “Oh my god! What! What was that! Did you see that? Oh hell no!” It even worked in the Blair Witch Project and that movie sucked a dog off.

That’s kinda what Direct Effect are going for in their new video as they jam in the dark. Or maybe they couldn’t turn the lights on because they were amps were turned up so loud that they risked blowing a fuse which, spoiler alert, they do. And it's pretty badass.

Check out the video for “[ ]” above (that’s the name of the song, they also didn’t want to overload their circuits with letters). And maybe pre-order their album Sunburn which comes out in March to help them afford a practice space with better circuitry.
