Worship Acid and Get High on Speed Metal with Demona's Infectious New EP

Colombian-turned-Canadian bandleader Tanza Speed's spiky riffs and banshee howls bleed Banzai red on this new EP; stream it in full.

Demona has always been Speed's outlet, a labor of love started back when she was only seventeen, and hopefully a newfound partnership with Hells Headbangers will aid her in her longtime goal of delivering rip-roaring speed metal to the masses.

On this new EP, she handles vocals, guitar, and presumably bass (as she's done for the majority of the eight-year-old project's releases save for a pair of recent-ish LPs), but for this latest effort, decided to enlist some outside talent. She's assembled a crack team to help her bring these two new diamond-cut tracks to life; Desaster drummer Tormentor holds it down behind the kit, while Midnight live guitarist Commander Vanik lent a hand in the studio, and Toxic Holocaust vet Joel Grind mastered the intoxicating result. Speed mentions Sentinel Beast and Judas Priest as major influences, but there's more than a little maniacal Acid in the mix, too, and Demona itself is a perfect amalgam of those older sounds and Tanza Speed's own passion for aggression.

A full-length album is in the works as well, but for now, take a hit of Demona's wicked new EP, and be sure to snatch a copy from Hells Headbangers come July 20.
