We all kinda guessed the death of Death Grips would be no usual break up affair. It was never going to be a long and drawn out will-they-won't-they timeline, with one member trying out a reggae-punk project before deciding they were better off together and reforming for Reading Festival.Instead, what we've had from Death Grips has been more of an afterlife experience, a productive haunting. Last year, they announced their final album, the end of Death Grips, but then announced a brand new album, appropriately titled Bottomless Pit. In January came the news of new shows at Coachella and with Savages across the US. And today, we have a brand new track, titled "Hot Head" which comes with revving chainsaw synths, frenetic vocal cuts, MC Ride's signature screams, and hellish thuds – and for all those reasons it's lit.
