Dead Stars' "Unpopular" Will Make You Feel Bad, in a Good Way

Brooklyn's Dead Stars have written the track to fit your minor existential crisis of just what are you doing with your life, anyway?

Every once in a while, you find yourself stuck in a situation where you just don’t feel wanted. You feel like you’ve given up everything, you’ve worked so hard, and still nothing seems to be working out. You consider moving out of your big city or small town to pursue something better. But who even knows if that would work out? Is there any point?

Brooklyn's Dead Stars have written the track to fit your minor existential crisis. It’s a fuzzed-out, crunchy song that will inspire you to just say, “Fuck it, I’m doing this” because do you really have anything left to lose?

"'Unpopular' is about alienation,” says vocalist/guitarist Jeff Moore. “It's about being 'cool' (or not cool enough), it's about giving up on your dreams, it's about what could've been. It's about the little bits of crayons, the melted pieces, the loving friends. All the things you wish you had.”

If you like Weezer (you know, when they were cool), Dinosaur Jr., or Teenage Fanclub, then Dead Stars are your guys. Check out “Unpopular” below and then maybe go tell some of those negative thoughts in your brain to fuck off, and pre-order their upcoming album, Bright Colors, while you're at it.

Then, if you're feeling really inspired and suddenly in love, check them out at one of their upcoming shows.
