Dark Blue is Philly's melting pot of members from punk and noise bands including Ceremony, Purling Hiss, Strand of Oaks, and Clockcleaner. The trio's latest single "Vicious Romance" is featured on an untitled seven-inch, out tomorrow from Austin, TX label 12XU. John Sharkey III's vocals soar through the song's post-punk skronk with defying clarity as he laments a "viscious romance." His delivery is one for the books, a style that somehow recalls both Ian Curtis and Paul Westerberg at the same time. How is that even possible, you ask? Stream the searing single "Vicious Romance," premiering below and pre-order the band's newest seven-inch here.
