Dan Lilker Looks Back on His Time with Anthrax, S.O.D., and More to Pick His Own Greatest Hits

Metal legend and member of 1000 bands picks his greatest musical moments

Do you know who Dan Lilker is (third from left)? He's a goddamn legend. The metal musician's career spans more than 30 years and almost as many bands including Anthrax, Brutal Truth, Nuclear Assault, S.O.D., and many many more. We were bummed when Lilker announced his retirement but stoked to hear the news of Perpetual Conversion: Thirty years and Counting in the Life of Metal Veteran Dan Lilker, the new book by Dave Hofer detailing his travels with personal accounts from Craig Setari, Barney Greenway, Dave Witte, Scott Ian, Gene Hoglan, Kevin Sharp, Digby Pearson, Jason Fuller, Fenriz, Chris Reifert, Necro, Dave Mustaine, Jacob Bannon and many many others. Basically a who's-who of metal and hardcore from the past quarter-century, NBD.

Anyway, Dan Lilker's discography is fairly substantial, so instead of laying that out in full, we asked the bassist to drop a list of what he felt like his personal "greatest hits." Check that out below and preorder the book now via Handshake
