Corduroy the Fox has been on my radar for a bit, and that's probably because I remember reading his 1,000 word essay on Pigeons & Planes. My friend Jacob runs that site—and he literally sifts through every single submission in his inbox every night. It's something that a lot of people don't do—and that's for an entirely different conversation—but he gave Corduroy a chance to show his skills and back it up with a damn essay on the song. From there, he landed an interview with Vice and today, he's premiering a new song called "$itgo/Virgins." It samples Chief Keef's song on the hook—which is probably my favorite song of his— so it immediately caught my attention. The track switches up half-way through with production handled by Seattle's $SOUNDS$ and then B00RADLEY, who has produced for Riff Raff, Main Attrakionz, and more."$itgo/virgins Is a song that I just wanted to have fun with, but show people I can go just as hard on a track and really turn up for those who didn't think I could," Corduroy says. "I chose to call it '$itgo' because I remember when I first heard 'Citgo' and I said to myself, 'This song is insane!' I wanted to try to bring those same vibes to life on a song of my mine own."Listen to his latest track below:
