The Return of Conway! Listen to Her New Track "Sudden Dawn"

This is Conway saying hello again. Welcome back.

Conway by Zach Gold

We've been fans of Conway for a minute: in 2014 we took her to the Bermuda Triangle to write an original track right there and then. We also talked to her about how she doesn't suffer self-aggrandizing bullshitters. That same year the St. Louis-born, LA-based singer was handpicked by Ellie Goulding to open for her during her last album's tour, and her 2013 breakout tune "Big Talk" still bangs. But in 2015 the Conway camp went kinda silent. Conway! Where have you been? Well she's been going through ch-ch-changes.

"Sudden Dawn"—premiering below—is her first release in an age, a slinky, cool pop gem that struts as much as it seduces. If this is the direction she's swaggering towards, we're very down.

Conway had this to say about the new track and what she's been up to since we last heard from her:

"'Sudden Dawn' is about people believing in and being comfortable with who they are, being open and connecting because of it. It was inspired by a Native American girl who wrote to me from a reservation. She said she wanted me to know that she supported my music and was 'sending light from her crazy circle to me.' I thought that image was magical and I wanted to send some light too.

"This EP is my first independent release since being off of Columbia," she continues. "It has 'Sudden Dawn,' a new version of 'Big Talk' and my other two favorite power

songs, 'Attack' and 'Hustler.' Part of the EP is a bit of a re-release because the songs didn't get the exposure they deserved. (Thanks to those who have already listened and have shown me love.) Now I can put my music out when I want, how I want. Blessing. I have finished a complete album and have been collaborating with some amazing people as well. All of that is coming soon. But this is me saying hello again… but in a new way… and directly from the heart. 'Sudden Dawn' sending from my circle of light… coming now, I'm closer to you."
